Midnight Flora is a computer enhanced image of a 'Souvenir de la Malmaison' rose that I shot at The New York Botanical Gardens. I decided to go digital because I wanted to pull out some of the flower's delicate hues. The deep burgundy and iridescent cyan have a tranquil, underwater-like quality and remind me of evening light by a moon-lit ocean.
